Abingdon Utd 0, Paulton Rovers 2
A below par second-half showing consigned Abingdon United to a home defeat in BGB Southern League Division 1 South & West last night.
Defences dominated the first half, but Abingdon had the better chances On 15 minutes, Luke Holden looked to be fouled in the box by Kyle Philips, but the penalty wasn't given and the ball was cleared.
Jamie Brooks had a goal ruled out for off-side after linking with Billy Beechers, while Abingdon keeper Lee Farrow tipped Dan Cleverley's shot round the post ten minutes before the break.
Paulton's Pete Sheppard fired in the opener straight after half-time, while Ricky Hulbert could have made it 2-0.
Substitute Tom Franklin saw his header cleared off the line on 70 minutes, but ten minutes later conceded a penalty which Paulton's Rob Claridge scored.
