Matt Green could come under real pressure for his place up front for the first time if fellow Oxford United striker Craig McAllister is declared fit on Saturday.
McAllister (pictured), who scored after just 51 seconds at Torquay in midweek, then injured a knee.
He has had half a dozen stitches, but if he gets the nod to play, there's a chance that it will be Green, rather than Justin Richards, who makes way for him.
Manager Darren Patterson said: "I've been a bit disappointed with Matt, I feel he's been only average at best the last two games."
However, the on-loan Cardiff City player still possesses guile around the box and he seems certain to be involved at some stage.
Patterson wants his players to send the U's fans away happy with this clash against Farsley Celtic being the last Saturday home game of the season - and it's only April 12!
"It's vitally important, as is every home game," he said. "The fans have been magnificent and we'd like to send them all home smiling after the last Saturday game.
Patterson intends to make one or two changes.
"There were a couple of players with tired legs on Tuesday night and there'll be one or two changes to freshen it up," he said.
Michael Blackwood remains sidelined with a calf injury, but Luke Foster can play in this game, before starting a two-match ban.
James Clarke looks set to replace Matt Day at right back, Day paying the price for his costly error at Plainmoor when Chris Zebroski bagged his second and what turned out to be the match-turning goal of the night.
Patterson believed the bust-up that Billy Turley and Day had as they were leaving the pitch at Torquay was just frustration spilling over.
But he feels the players shouldn't have done it in public.
"I didn't see it because I was in the dressing room, and there was no argument in there at all," he said.
"They had shaken hands and resolved it before they got in to the dressing room.
"I don't think they should do it in public, but it just shows they care deeply about losing."
In the Farsley Celtic squad are ex-U's players Georges Santos and Scott McNiven, along with his twin brother, David.

The Andrew Knapton Memorial Trophy will be handed out before the final home game, against Rushden on Tuesday, April 22.
