Section 3 side Gladiators Club B pulled off a remarkable aggregate victory over Section 2 champions Berinsfield Club in the Team Knockout quarter-final, writes PETE EWINS.

Trailing 3-2 and 800 points down from the first leg at Berinsfield, Gladiators went further behind when Geoff Mace (4980-2660) defeated Grant Johnson.

Reg Johnson (3910-3260) beat Eddie Tebby to level at 1-1.

Although Dave Lyne then got the better of Jenny Webb to restore Berinsfield's lead, Phil Clark (11,110) levelled on the night.

Dick Stowe then beat Billy Howard as Gladiators triumphed on aggregate.

They now meet Dolphin B in the semi-finals at the Masons on April 17.

Headington Con Club earned themselves a Section 3 play-off spot against Gladiators Club after winning 4-1 at home to Temple Bar.

Section 2 champions Berinsfield Club completed their campaign by winning 4-1 away at Temple Bar.

  • Nicky Stratford reached the final of the Lily Cox Cup after beating Jenny Webb.

She will meet Melissa Stanbridge, who saw off Michelle Tooke.

In the Ladies' Individual Cup, Sue Atkins will play Stratford in the last four after beating Tooke in the quarter-finals.

Pauline Withey will meet Jenny Abbott in the other tie.
