Banbury now know that two wins in their last two matches will see them secure an unprecedented league and Trophy double.
In Premier 2 of the South League on Saturday they beat Eastcote 3-1.
Simon Boardman swept home their opening goal and Dave Clark had a flick well saved before Eastcote levelled early in the second half.
Adrian Simons restored the lead after good work down the right from James Clement and Tim Craven, and defender Simon West settled it with a third goal.
Third-placed Banbury now face second-placed West Hampstead in a do-or-die home game on April 5.
West Hampstead improved their goal difference when beating Henley 12-0 and Banbury now have to defeat them to gain promotion.
On Sunday, Banbury kept up their impressive Trophy record when they beat Henley 5-1 in the semi-finals of the EH Harrod UK Men's Trophy and moved into their fourth final in five years, where they will play Rotherham.
Henley took the lead through Paul Latham, but Banbury stormed back with goals from Matthew Bull, Tyson Nunneley, Boardman, Simons and Clark.
Coach Alex Pizzey returned from injury and scored five times as City of Oxford drew 6-6 with Gerrards Cross in Division 1. Richard Hill got the other goal.
And a last-minute equaliser from /Josh Tomlinson earned Abingdon a 3-3 draw with Marlow at Tilsley Park. It saw Tomlinson bag his fifth hat-trick of the season.
