Oxford City 1 (Pond 35)
Fleet Tn 2 (Wright 4, Field 87)
Oxford City's title hopes were dealt a huge blow as Fleet snatched a late winner in Saturday's Division 1 South & West clash at Court Place Farm.
City looked to have done enough to earn a point, but a goal three minutes from time undid their hard work as the Hampshire side snatched victory.
It leaves City ten points off top spot with just five games remaining.
City fell behind early on when James Field's corner found Nathan Smart, who thumped a shot against a post. However, Ben Wright reacted quickly to fire home the rebound.
Both sides found constructive football out of the question in a strong and gusty wind.
George Redknap saw a shot deflected for a corner, while Jon Gardner's effort went wide.
But City were on level terms when a Steve Davis free-kick was deflected over for a corner.
From this, Darren Pond unleashed a spectacular bicycle kick which flew in.
Fleet saw two volleys strike the bar, but the second was offside anyway.
It looked all set to end level, but with minutes remaining, Fleet snatched the points.
There looked to be little danger in Field's strike, but it took a wicked deflection off James Saulsbury, and with keeper Steve Smith already committed, the ball ended up in the net.
Oxford City: Smith, Saulsbury, Davis, Gunn, Pond, Avery, Gardner (Woodruffe 65), Malone, Redknap (Telemaque 75), Lyon, Bell (Stewart 80).
Attendance: 218
