Beehive AC fished their Last Chance Cup at long last on a snowy and windy Lower Court.
The conditions made presentation difficult for anglers but a few fish were caught.
Presenting a pellet waggler to a slack area at the back of the island, Dave Simmons found 55.10.0 of carp for a clear win.
A nice carp of 10.8.0 to go with some smaller samples on feeder and maggot earned Kevin Jeacock second place with 38.2.0.
Fishing tight to the margins with pole and maggot, Steve Dingle put 30.8.0 of carp on the scales for third.
Winner of the Winter League over ten matches was Kevin Jeacock.
Predator's first match in their Spring Carp League kicked off at Pimlico, where the 12 anglers found it a struggle.
The venue just did not fish well at all, which was a shame, as it normally fishes its head off, but maybe the gale-force winds and snow took their toll.
Fishing the pole at around 12m, Matt Ryman (Predator) alternated between maggot and corn to win with a carp and a few roach worth 9.8.0.
Andy Benwell (Predator) stuck with maggot and netted two tench, plus some roach, for a second-placed 7.12.0, ahead of Jamie Godfrey (RS Baits) who caught a 7.8.0 carp, which took a prawn.
Last Sunday, North Oxford AS fished a club match on the Oxford Canal at the A40, pegged between the flyover and the menagerie for the eight matchmen.
With a cold wind blowing and temperatures not getting into double figures it was hard work, but fish were caught and it was Dave Scott-Picton who once again took the honours.
Starting off on punch, he netted a nice bream around the 3lb mark, and then switched to chopped worm and had some bits for a winning 4.14.0.
Trying an assortment of baits, Colin Quarterman was second with 3.10.0, comprising one decent perch, plus some small silver fish.
He finished one ounce ahead of John Coleman, who fed chopped worm and fished worm over the top to net two perch and a small chub.
