Mark Jones finished second in High Wycombe's ten-mile time trial on the A420 between Southmoor and Besselsleigh.
The Oxford City Road Club star, who lives in North Leigh, clocked 21mins 50secs in windy conditions, with leading British time-triallist Richard Prebble (GS Strada) first in 21.03.
