Banbury United threw away a 2-1 lead as they lost 3-2 to Premier Division derby rivals Rugby Town at Spencer Stadium.
They should have salvaged a point, but the normally reliable Matt Murphy missed a late penalty for the Puritans.
Greg Williams gave Banbury the lead, and although Stephan Morley equalised, Ollie Stanbridge restored Banbury's lead.
After the break, though, Morley got his second this time from the penalty spot to level.
Soon after, David Stone shot the visitors in front.
Late on, Murphy had a great chance to level from the spot, after Nicky Gordon was brought down, but Rugby's keeper Richard Anstiss parried away his effort.
