Andy Misseldine claimed the Oxford & District Association's Division 1 singles title after an epic battle with fellow veteran Karl Bushell at Kidlington Forum.
Misseldine (St James) who ousted holder Andrew Flint in his semi-final, gave a tremendous display of skill and determination to beat his Forum rival 11-7, 13-11, 8-11, 5-11, 11-6.
He produced a series of flashing backhand winners, while enjoying his fair share of nets and edges, in a thoroughly entertaining final.
Paul Reynolds (Lord Nuffield) showed fine technique with his backhand block and counter-hit to defeat Paul Borrowdale (Vikings) 3-1 in the Division 2 final.
The Division 3 final was a fluctuating affair with Geraint Lloyd (Vikings) serving into the net on match point before losing 3-2 to the unbeaten Sam Harrison (Forum).
Lloyd won games two and four and blew a big lead in the decider as Harrison landed an improbable victory.
Lord Nuffield's Yungtai Hsu scarcely broke sweat in seeing off clubmate Michael Loizou 3-0 in the Division 4 final.
Matthew Cooper dominated the Development competition, crusing past fellow Forum player Ryan Gibbons in the final.
