Former Zimbabwean Test cricketer Henry Olonga has stepped in to help Charlbury CC's new pavilion appeal - with a concert.
The pavilion was condemned after disappearing under the floodwaters last July.
And now the club need to raise £250,000 to replace the old building.
Now Olonga, an accomplished singer, will perform a selection of both pop and classical music at the town's St Mary's Church on Saturday, April 12 (8pm) to aid the fundraising.
He will also talk about his life both on and off the cricket field and there will be a question-and-answer session.
Tickets £10, or £7 for under 18s and over 65s (to include a glass of wine for over 18s) are available from News and Things, Charlbury Post Office, The Good Food Shop, Peter's Hairdressers, Cotswold Frames, Fiveways Londis and Evenlode Books, or from Malcolm Harper (The Cottages, Church Lane, Charlbury; Tel. 07778 450515). Tickets can also be purchased on the night (subject to availability).
