OXFORD City Stars have sealed three more signings as they prepare for the new NIHL Division 1 South season.
Forward Theo Bundock has re-joined the club, while Sam Shone and Michael Drobny arrive at Oxpens.
Bundock, 23, has agreed a two-way deal with development side Oxford Rising Stars after scoring 11 goals in 30 games for the first team last season.
He said: “Oxford is my local club and I love playing at Oxpens.
"I’m looking forward to playing for both the Stars and the Rising Stars this season.
"It is a new approach at Oxford and will give me more time on the ice and more experience, which I want.”
Meanwhile, D-Man Drobny, 22, previously turned out for Oxford University Blues and Oxford Vikings, before spending the last two campaigns in Canada.
He said: “I am very happy that I could play for Oxford City Stars. It is a dream come true as ever since I came to Oxford in 2019, I wanted to play for this team.
“I have been trying to make the leap between junior and men’s hockey for a long time.
"I believe that the Greater Metro Under 22s Hockey League has given me the needed extra steps I was missing. I am very excited that I get a chance for Oxford to debut at men’s level.
“I thank the head coach Simon (Anderson) for trusting me and giving me a chance to help the team.
"It is a very good blend of experience and skill. There are some familiar faces but also many new ones to me, so I am grateful for the way I’ve been welcomed.”
Fellow defensive player Shone, 31, goes straight into the squad for Stars’ Division 1 South opener at Slough Jets on Saturday.
He said: “I’m really excited to be back playing in in Oxford this year.
"Simon gave me the call and told me about the group he has put together and it was a no-brainer.
"I really enjoyed my season Oxford before and I was gutted it got cut short by Covid.
“It was a nice feeling to come back to Oxford and be welcomed back by all the fans and saying hello to new and old faces.
"I’m looking forward to getting going to the season ahead.”
