Former Manchester United hero Norman Whiteside helped Marston Saints net a substantial amount towards a new clubhouse.
The former Northern Ireland international was the guest speaker at a packed sportsman's dinner held at The Oxford Centre, on Banbury Road.
Big Norman, whose robust style earned him the nick name "The Shankhill Skinhead", was also reunited with Martin Keown, whom he briefly played with at Everton.
Keown donated a signed Arsenal shirt for a post-dinner auction to boost the Saints development plan, marking the club's 40th anniversary.
The club will be hosting an anniversary ball on June 14 at the same venue. Tickets at £40 can be obtained from John Page 07786 378480.
