ALICE Bennion hit the winning goal four minutes from time as Benson beat Carterton 3-2 in the Under 16 League.

Bennion fired past the outstretched arm of Carterton keeper Stephanie Lynas to give her side the points after a thrilling game.

Gemma Portman fired Benson into an early lead, but Nicola Rose equalised.

Bennion headed Benson back in front, and although Sulie Turner's great finish after a mazy run made it 2-2, Bennion had the last word.

Laurin Carey scored twice as Cholsey Bluebirds recorded a 4-2 win over Tower Hill Vixens in the Under 15 League.

Islay Steel and Barbara Soria also scored, with Vixens' goals coming from Khloe Bennett and Lucy Scarfe.

Anise Da Silva Martins hit a first-half four-timer as Carterton cruised to a 6-0 victory over Kennington in the Under 11.

Martins slotted home the opener in the first minute, and doubled the lead soon after.

Two more goals from Martins plus a strike from Hollie Merriman gave Carterton a 5-0 interval lead, before Courtney Curle wrapped up the scoring in the second half.

St Edmunds proved a class above Benson, running out 9-0 winners.

They were 7-0 ahead at half-time, and were only denied a heavier victory by some great saves from Benson keeper Sophie Field.

Meggie Crawford (4), Sophie Grimson (3), Anna Jiminez and Ellen Chung were on target.

An unfortunate own goal by Marston keeper Tasha Irons - who also made some fine saves - made it 3-0, before Blanch Mayo netted late on to give the hosts some cheer.
