SAM Winnall has found a new Sky Bet League One club following his release by Oxford United.
The striker has joined third-tier basement boys Burton Albion for the rest of the season after impressing on trial this summer.
Winnall was a free agent after being released by the U’s at the end of 2021/22, having scored seven goals in 52 games across two campaigns.

The 31-year-old takes Burton’s No 9 shirt and was thrilled to complete the move.
"I'm buzzing to get it over the line. As you're probably aware, I've been training for quite a while," he told the Brewers’ official website.
"To get it all sealed is a real pleasure. I feel good to be honest.
"It's part of football that when you leave a club and become a free agent, it's a tough time.
"I was really thankful to the club for the opportunity to come in, train and build that fitness back up.
“I just want to start playing now. I had a couple of other options on the table, but the fact that the club showed a real interest and Dino Maamria showed me how much he really wanted me to be here made it an easy decision."
Winnall joined the U's in September 2020, signing a two-year deal with the option of an extra 12 months.
But United did not trigger the additional clause in the striker’s contract after a difficult spell at the Kassam Stadium.
He made just ten starts across the two years, although his highlights included a long-range screamer against the Brewers on the final day of the 2020/21 season.
Maamria replaced Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink as Burton manager after the Dutchman resigned on Monday, less than 48 hours after a 2-1 defeat to United.
The duo were in charge during Winnall’s successful trial period, which included a hat-trick against Stapenhill Town in pre-season.
