EDDIE Pepperell will hope to continue his fabulous form at the prestigious BMW PGA Championship this week.
The Abingdon golfer tees off for his opening round at Wentworth at 1.25pm this afternoon.
Pepperell will be alongside two players in the top 150 of the world rankings, Denmark’s Thorbjorn Olesen and Thomas Detry, from Belgium.
The Frilford Heath member withdrew following his opening round at last year’s tournament, but finished sixth at the previous edition in October 2020.
Pepperell will be confident of achieving something near his performance of two years ago after a fine run of form over the last six weeks.
The 31-year-old has claimed five successive top-20 finishes to climb to World No 295, starting with the Cazoo Classic in July, where he tied for 11th.
Pepperell followed that with second place at the Hero Open at Fairmont St Andrews, Scotland, before ending the Cazoo Open joint 20th.
The two-time European Tour winner tied for eighth at the Real Czech Masters, before grabbing 18th at Made in HimmerLand in Denmark last week.
