NELSON B took a giant step towards the Section 3 title after a brilliant 4-1 home win over Section 2 hopefuls Dolphin B in the Johnsons Buildbase Oxford & District League, writes PETE EWINS.
Lewis Stratford put the Cowley outfit in front, but Joe Storch made it 1-1.
However, Shaun Stratford (5,270), Mick Stratford (2,330) and Dave Bye, who rattled up 10,100, completed victory.
Third-placed Headington Con Club beat second-placed Gladiators B 4-1, with Graham Mildenhall, Dave Gordon, Tim Jeffreys and Ian Gordon winning.
Section 2 leaders Berinsfield Club suffered their first defeat, going down 3-2 at Shelley Arms.
The match was nicely poised at 2-2 when Phil Chaundy beat in-form Geoff Mace to clinch victory.
Meanwhile, Nelson A fought back from 2-1 down to maintain their unbeaten Premier Section record against Dolphin A.
Keith Sheard sealed the match with the season's highest away break of 22,850.
