OXFORD United goalkeeper Eddie Brearey has joined North Leigh on loan.
The 18-year-old will link up with Eddie Odhiambo’s Millers for the next month.
Brearey enjoyed a successful loan spell at St Ives Town in the second half of last season and will get another chance to impress at step three of non-league.
North Leigh are competing in Pitching In Southern League Premier South for the first time in their history and are 18th after six matches.
Brearey joins a growing list of youngsters out on loan, including fellow goalkeepers Kie Plumley at Bowers & Pitsea and Fraser Barnsley at Evesham United, managed by former U’s captain Mike Ford.
Goalkeeping coach Wayne Brown told United's official website: “They are all excellent young goalkeepers and push each other in training all the time.
"There is nothing quite like playing regular competitive senior football so these loans are hopefully going to help them develop, as well as helping the teams they are at.”
Meanwhile, left-sided player Will Owens is gaining experience with Andy Whing’s Banbury United.
