Hillingdon Boro 1 (Tilbury 1)
Abingdon Utd 2 (Curtin 9 pen, Herbert 46)
Michaes Herbert's goal in the first minute of the second half gave Abingdon their first Division 1 South & West away victory of 2008.
Abingdon got off to the worst possible start when their defence failed to clear the ball in the first minute and Hillingdon's Danny Tilbury tapped home.
The visitors, with a strong wind at their backs, were level soon after.
Striker Luke Holden was bundled over in the box and Ryan Curtin slotted home the resulting penalty.
Abingdon keeper Lee Farrow saved well from Leon Nelson on 20 minutes, and with the home team having the advantage of the strong wind in the second half, Abingdon could have been up against it.
But Herbert's header from a Curtin corner in the first minute of the second half proved enough to seal the points.
Despite the home side's pressure, Abingdon stood form and restricted Hillingdon to few chances.
Home keeper Barclay Lawrincin denied Curtin and Holden as Abingdon finished well to end a dismal run of away defeats.
