Corby Tn 2 (Wormall 68, Diggin 75)
Banbury Utd 1 (Scott Bridges 48)
After last week's win at Halesowen, Banbury were left scratching their heads as they were beaten in Saturday's Premier Division clash.
Banbury got off to a bright start, and were easily the best side early on.
Nicky Gordon beat Corby's off-side trap three times in the opening 20 minutes, but on each occasion, Corby defender Chris Glarvey denied the striker.
Banbury's best chance of the half came in the 27th minute when Matt Murphy's shot from 20 yards was brilliantly tipped over by Corby keeper Martin Davies.
Gordon was also denied by Davies after breaking clear.
Banbury went ahead early in the second half when Scott Bridges jinked through Corby's defence.
His first effort was blocked on the line, and he then teed up Murphy, whose effort suffered the same fate.
However, Bridges followed up again to fire home at the third attempt.
Corby had looked better after the break, and equalised through Martin Wormall.
Following a series of crosses, Wormall met one with a header which Banbury keeper Andy Wheeler pushed away.
From the corner, Wormall made no mistake with a well-placed header.
The home side netted a controversial winner.
A Banbury attack was broken up after Scott Bridges was pulled back around the neck, which the assistant failed to spot.
The ball was hacked up field and Steve Diggin latched onto the clearance, raced away and lobbed Wheeler from 20 yards.
Banbury Utd: Wheeler, Pearman, Kinch (Bryan 80), Essex, Baird (Goddard 56), Sambrook, Sc Bridges, St Bridges, Murphy, Gordon, Stanbridge. Sub not used: Sullivan.
Attendance: 275
