Former Oxford United star Paul Powell has been given another chance by Didcot Town manager Stuart Peace, just weeks after he left the Division 1 South & West leaders for Hungerford Town.
Last month, Powell quit the Railwaymen to join the Hellenic League side and Peace said he would not play for Didcot again due to his attitude.
However, after talks, Powell is added to the squad for Saturday's home game against Newport Isle of Wight.
"We had a chat about it and it's fine now," said Peace. "Both parties will hopefully benefit. If he can get back to playing as well as I know he can, it will be a big boost for us.
"He never really wanted to leave Didcot, but he needed a break from football. He went to Hungerford where he's got his appetite for playing back.
But Peace warned Powell: "He may have to wait for his opportunity to get back in the side. Once I have a fit Paul Powell I have no problem. He is a quality player.
"I'm giving him another chance. It's down to him to do the training and get himself fit. He's got to show his commitment to the club."
Didcot will be without defender Andy Williams (hamstring).
Ashley Vine (suspended) misses out, though Richard Witt should return from an ankle injury. Andy Parrott is also back.
Abingdon United manager Andy Slater has praised his youngsters after Saturday's win against Uxbridge - their first of 2008.
"I was really pleased for them," said Slater. "They deserved it. 1-0 wasn't a true reflection. We had seven teenagers out there."
Abingdon will be without Daniel Meade (away), Tom Franklin (suspended) and Nathan Woodley (ham- string). Dean Moss and Aaron Posey return.
Banbury United are without five players for their Premier Division trip to Corby.
Wayne Blossom and Lewis Travers are banned, while Jody McKay, Ady Fuller and Matty Gooderick are unavailable. Andy Baird (groin injury) is a doubt.
Saturday's squads Didcot Tn (v Newport IOW, home): from Watkins, Davis, Peirson, Parrott, Heapy, Bicknell, Jack, Mulvany, King, Witt, Odhiambo, Powell, Hope, Hopkins, Lewis, Thomas.
