Gary Ackling has spoken of his disappointment following his sacking by Sport Italia Hellenic League Premier Division side Milton United.
Ackling, who took over in November 2004, was axed on Monday, with Roger Nichols and Matty Whitehead taking control until the end of the season.
Ackling said: "Although saddened, I was not surprised by the decision that the committee made.
"Since the new chairman (Barry Griffiths) and committee took over last October, the support I had enjoyed from the day I arrived was not the same."
Among other cutbacks, Ackling had to release striker Vinny Rusher.
He added: "It made it very difficult for me to manage the team as I would have liked.
"However, we still managed to go 21 games unbeaten and reach two cup semi-finals."
Ackling added: "I would like to thank the players and my backroom staff for their support during this difficult period.
"I hope this does not sour what has been, in the main, a very enjoyable four years.
"I am now looking forward to my next challenge in management."
Physio Richard Fox and team captain Dean Flockton have also left.
Chris Allen (hamstring) and Joe Burnell (ankle) are ruled out of North Leigh's home game against Shortwood United on Saturday.
