JIMMY Floyd Hasselbaink has parted ways with Burton Albion following Saturday’s defeat to Oxford United.
The former Netherlands international becomes the first Sky Bet League One manager to leave their job this season after resigning this morning.
Burton are bottom of the table and already six points off safety.

It comes less than 48 hours after United condemned the Brewers to their sixth defeat in seven matches as goals from Cameron Brannagan and Kyle Joseph secured a 2-1 win at the Kassam Stadium.
Hasselbaink returned for his second spell at the Pirelli Stadium on New Year’s Day 2021 and watched from the stands as United beat Burton 5-1 the following afternoon.
Burton were rock bottom of League One at the time, but the former Leeds United and Chelsea striker masterminded a turnaround in form as they ended the 2020/21 campaign 16th.
They repeated that finished last season, however this term’s poor start means Hasselbaink leaves with the Brewers in the same position as when he arrived.
