Gosport Boro 2 (Bennett pen 49, 81)
Didcot Tn 4 (Mulvany 16, Williams 30, Odhiambo 40, King pen 45)
Didcot retained top sport in Division 1 South & West with a dominant first-half display on the south coast.
The game was settled by half-time, when Didcot not only found themselves in an unassailable four-goal lead, but also playing against ten men after Gosport keeper Max Frampton had been red-carded.
But the home side showed plenty of spirit and scored the only two goals of the second half.
Didcot who made the breakthrough when Josh Mulvany cut in well from the right and his low left-foot shot sped past Frampton's outstretched hand.
Frampton's day of woe really started when Didcot doubled their lead on the half-hour. The Boro' keeper failed to deal with a high cross from Matty Jack and the ball was lashed home by Andy Williams from close-range.
And it was soon to get worse for the Gosport keeper, who fumbled Jack's 25-yard free-kick, and Anaclet Odhiambo hooked the ball home into an unguarded net.
Frampton was saved further punishment on the stroke of half-time.
This time the Borough keeper was sent off for hauling down Scott Davis on the edge of the six-yard box.
His replacement in goal, Mark Brown, was picking the ball out of his net within seconds as Jack King made no mistake from the penalty spot to make it 4-0.
Gosport's ten men certainly gave a good account of themselves after the break.
In the 49th minute, Williams was penalised for handball in the penalty area.
Keeper Michael Watkins pulled off a brilliant save from Justin Bennett's spot-kick. But Bennett got a second chance, which he duly converted, after Watkins was penalised for moving off his line.
The lead was cut further with nine minutes to go when Bennett's shot went in via the inside of a post.
Didcot: Watkins, Davis, Jack, Williams, Peirson, Heapy, Mulvany (Lewis 78), King, Odhiambo (Gooding 67), Parrott, Hope.
