Oxford City's Melissa Hawtin put up a cracking effort to finish sixth at the English Cross Country Championships at Alton Towers.
Competing in a field of 300 in the under 15 girls' race, she recorded a time of 13mins 10secs.
Emelia Gorecka led home an Aldershot Farnham & District one-two from Ruth Haynes, taking gold in 12.27.
In the under 13 girls' race, Hawtin's sister, Lauren, ran well to finish 48th in 12.31.
In the senior men's race, Matt Coffey finished 150th in 36.52 out of a field of 1,244.

HEADINGTON Roadrunner Steve Kimber finished second at the Bourton 10K.
Running for first-claim club Windsor, Slough, Eton & Hounslow, Kimber, who looks odds-on to wrap up his third successive Oxford Mail Cross Country League title at Horspath on Sunday, clocked 31mins 4secs.
The 2006 Commonwealth Games marathon bronze medallist, Dan Robinson, shattered the course record to take victory in 29.21.
Oxford City posted three age group victories.
Steve Male (32.38) was first in the vet 45 men's race, while Trevor Dixon won the vet 50 race in 34.30 and Dave Parsons (37.10) completed the treble with victory in the vet 60 race.
Woodstock Harriers' Sharron Sheppard was second in the vet 35 ladies' race, clocking a personal best of 38.39.

WITNEY'S Claire Butler and Sam Benfield competed in the England Under 15-20 Championships at Birmingham's National Indoor Arena.
Butler finished sixth in her 200m heat, clocking 26.47secs, while Benfield came seventh in the 60m in 7.57.
