Oxford Harlequins defeated Banbury Bulls 35-5 in an error-strewn Oxfordshire Cup semi-final at Bodicote Park.
Quins scored seven tries, but couldn't convert any in the very windly conditions.
The visitors took the lead in the fourth minute when half backs Kenny Sewell and Frank Jones set up a try for flanker Tom Johnson.
Banbury had much of the play in the opening quarter, but couldn't capitalise.
It was 10-0 on 26 minutes when captain for the day Beau Wilson sent wing Duncan Lynchsmith racing over.
Recycling in the forwards enabled No 8 Paddy Soper to be driven over.
But just before the break Banbury hit back when No 8 Eddie Cummings drove over after good work from Andrew Gilbert and Sean Bannister.
Early in the second half, flanker Bannister went over, only to be penalised for a double movement.
Quins increased their momentum with lock James Eckert notching a fourth try.
Eckert's second row colleague Dave Payne intercepted a loose pass to run in a spectacular score from halfway.
Breaks by replacement scrum half Anthony Cope and Wilson opened gaps in the Banbury defence, which full back Huw Jones shredded to score a fine try.
Huw Jones added the final score on 76 minutes after a fine move with several switches of direction.
Banbury coach Grant Holmes said: "We showed today that with the right attitude and by playing with pride and passion we can compete at this level.
"Oxford are in the league above us sitting in mid table while we languish near the bottom of Midlands 2.
"Any neutral who did not know these facts would never have guessed this to be the case.
"We rose to the challenge and with the ball in hand, especially during the first half we didnt look a bad side out there.
"We did turn over too much possession throughout the game and that invariably relieves any pressure you have put on your opponents.
"It was unfortunate that we lost backs Peter Flemming and John Preston to first half injuries, which disrupted the side.
"And then to lose David Taylor in the second half compounded the situation as we were forced to play Sean Bannister in the backs.
"This wasn't ideal as Sean is a key figure in our pack and we lost our way a little when all these changes had to be made."
Friendly result: Gosford All Blacks 2nd 12 (tries M Stewart, T Bartlett; con T Ellis), Chinnor 4th 28.
