Banbury United have two new fans - Americans Elaine Turner and her daughter Heidi.
They were guests of Puritans striker Nicky Gordon for their Premier Division home game with Mangotsfield United last Saturday.
Gordon stayed with the Turners last year while he was working as a football coach in Boston, Massachusettes.
"Nicky was in the States for a couple of months while he was on contract to the MLS (Major Soccer League)," said Gordon's dad, Eddie.
"He ended up coaching Heidi, her sister Zoe and their brother Nicholas, and the family invited him to stay.
"He was over their last year and came back over in October to sign for Banbury. He's planning to go back there when his contract finishes."
The Turners sponsored the matchball for Saturday's game and this week headed for Liverpool to meet another coach whom they met while Stateside.
Tomorrow, they continue their English football education when they travel to Anfield to watch the Reds take on Middlesbrough in their Premier League clash.
