Banbury United player-manager Kieran Sullivan has urged his side to pull out all the stops and reach the Premier Division play-offs, starting with tomorrow's home game against Merthyr Tydfil.
Although the Puritans are 12th in the table, Sullivan believes it is not too late to make bid for the end-of-season shake-up.
He added: "We have got 12 games to go and if we can put a serious run together then there is no reason why we can't stop looking that way.
"I think the top four are done and dusted, but there are six, seven eight clubs, including ourselves who have a chance of taking that fifth place."
Banbury have been boosted by the capture of Craig Pearman, 27, from Division 1 Midland side Woodford United.
He could make his debut alongside midfielder Greg Williams, who signed last week from Oxford City.
Williams was due to make his bow at home to Mangotsfield, but pulled out at the 11th hour due to illness.
"Pearman is very versatile and puts his foot in," said Sullivan.
"He's a good signing for us. They were reluctant to see him go, but there is some trouble at Woodford in terms of finances."
Banbury give late fitness tests to Stuart Bridges (knee), Baird (groin) and Lewis Travers (foot).
Meanwhile, Ben Milner has left the club to spend more time with his young family.
Oxford City will be without Jon Gardner (ankle), Jermaine McSporran (stomach) and Ricky Allaway (ankle) at home to Paulton Rovers in Division 1 South & West.
Player-manager Justin Merritt, whose side have lost their last two games, added: "I was reasonably pleased with the way we played at Farnborough, but we didn't take our chances. We've got to be calmer in front of goal."
Didcot Town will be missing midfielder Richard Witt (suspended) when they host Godalming.
Manager Stuart Peace is keen for his team to keep up the momentum after their midweek game against Burnham was fogged off.
It had been re-arranged from earlier in the season when the game was abandoned due to injury.
"Tuesday was a nightmare," said Peace. "We were 2-0 up and coasting. It was a shame because Godalming beat leaders Fleet the same night."
Midfielder Julian McCalmon faces a fitness test on a groin injury ahead of Abingdon United's trip to Andover. Ryan Curtin is suspended.
Boss Andy Slater said: "We did well against Hillingdon Borough (they drew 0-0) and we have got to take the attitude we showed with us to Andover."
