Chinnor Academy produced a creditable performance in losing 22-11 to Worcester Warriors Under 19s at Sixways.
Worcester went into a 10-0 lead as Chinnor's lack of match practice told.
The visitors then rallied with under 17 scrum half Ryan Binnie impressing on his academy debut.
Thad Cooper kicked a penalty after wing Alex Woodhouse went on a mazy run.
Good work from Paul Davies, Jordan Wood, Mark Wilkinson and Ches Penny ended with Cooper slotting another penalty.
Worcester bagged a converted try before the break and added a third score in the second half.
Chinnor's battling was rewarded when skipper Sam Ludgate powered over in the corner.
- Witney Under 17s lost their Oxfordshire Colts Cup semi-final 21-10 to Banbury on Sunday.
The bigger Banbury side had the edge on a weekend when every Witney side lost.
