JOSH Murphy hopes he can rediscover his best form under Karl Robinson after sealing a permanent reunion with the Oxford United head coach.
The winger today completed his move to the U’s, signing a two-year deal following his release by Cardiff City earlier this summer.
Murphy has been training with United and knows Robinson well from a successful loan spell at MK Dons in 2015/16.

The forward was only 20 when the then MK boss brought him to Buckinghamshire from Norwich City, but he flourished in a struggling team and was voted players’ player of the year.
It was Murphy’s first season of regular Sky Championship football and he quickly became a key figure at Carrow Road, before joining Cardiff for £11million in 2018.
The pair last worked together in 2016, yet the 27-year-old has not forgotten Robinson's influence on his career.
He said: “When you’ve got a manager backing you it’s great, that’s what every player wants.
“We struck up a great relationship when we were together at MK Dons. It was a great loan spell and I really enjoyed working with the manager.
“To get the chance to do it all over again made sense, especially at the point of my career I’m at.
“I’m looking forward to working with these guys day-in, day-out and hopefully building something special.”
Murphy has never played below the Championship and drew second-tier interest this summer, with Huddersfield Town strongly linked and Reading taking the winger on trial.

But the former Norwich trainee revealed it did not take much convincing for him to drop down to Sky Bet League One for the first time in his career.
“He (Robinson) didn’t have to do much, I think everything spoke for itself. Coming through the doors, the vibe and everything was there straight away,” Murphy said.
“I know some of the players that have been here in the past and they all had really positive things to say about the club.
“Having a couple of days training with the boys really helped, just to get a feel of the playing style and what they’re like as a group of lads.
“It’s been excellent, there are some really good players here and I’m really excited about the season ahead.”
U’s fans have already seen Murphy in action after he came on for the second half of Saturday’s stalemate at AFC Wimbledon.
Before the game, Robinson said the new arrival was ‘one of the best wingers he’s worked with’ – and backed him to become a popular figure.
He told United’s official website: “He is a phenomenal talent and hopefully he can come here, get a run of games together and really show everyone what he can do.
“He creates opportunities, he works hard and I think he is a player the fans are really going to like watching.”
