BANBURY Hockey Club's Tim Craven (pictured left) played in all three England Under 18 games in their three-match series against Ireland in Dublin at the end of last week.
The right midfielder played a crucial role in England's 5-2 win in the first game, but suffered a head injury when Ireland won the second match 5-4.
The other game finished as a 3-3 draw.
Craven will now wait to see whether he is included when England's squad of 24 is cut to 18 for a Four Nations Tournament in Holland over the Easter weekend.
Banbury Hockey Club's head of communictions, Craig Irvine, said: "We are delighted for Tim.
"He has been outstanding for both the first team and the club's under 18 side this season and if he carries that form into these games then he will play a very important role."
