Matt Maudsley praised Oxford Harlequins' efforts despite their 19-point defeat to Bracknell.
Quins director of rugby said: "I'm really pleased with the performance, our broken field play was excellent and caused them problems.
"It was just one or two mistakes, although for the interception try, we thought play may have been pulled back for a penalty.
"Some aspects of our game were a bit patchy. Our first up tackling on occasions in midfield gave them the advantage.
"Given our resources against theirs, that's why I'm pleased.
"I was hoping to cause an upset, but the lads were still positive afterwards."
