Wallingford gave themselves an outside chance of the Southern Counties North title by beating leaders Olney 16-12 at the Hithercroft.
The win maintained Wallingford's unbeaten run at home since November 2005.
Wing Richard Turner chased down his own kick for the opening try, but Olney hit back when Dave Smith converted a score from Gareth Cahill.
Wallingford retook the lead on 20 minutes when No 8 Ian Jeffreys set up lock Paul Lewis to power over.
Two penalties from fly half Pete Strang put the hosts 16-7 up at half-time.
Wallingford flanker Mike Chapman was yellow-carded and Olney lock Jack Sutton scored on 65 minutes after scrum half Derek Viljoen's clearance was charged down.
But Wallingford held on for a victory that could have been more emphatic.
Grove made the most of selecting a near full-strength side to defeat Amersham & Chiltern 29-3.
Amersham scored first with a penalty, but Grove were 26-3 up by half-time.
Centre Ben Nicholl, full back Nick Sevier (2) and No 8 John Smart all crossed over with fly half Roger Sevier converting twice.
Roger Sevier added a penalty after the break.
A last-gasp penalty condemned Witney to a 26-23 defeat at Milton Keynes.
Witney were pushing for a winning score with Keynes down to 14 men, but Joe Collins was caught off-side and the kick was on target.
The hosts took an early lead with a try from a rolling maul, but Witney replied with two penalties from fly half James Elwood.

The visitors bagged their first five-pointer with a penalty try when Elwood was held back and the fly half himself converted.
Witney lost prop Rikki Dore to a hamstring injury and Keynes kicked two penalties to reduce the deficit to 13-11.
Full back Henry Lamb entered the line cleverly to put Witney back in charge in the second half after good work from flankers Tim Muller and Will Worrall.
Keynes hit back with a try, but Witney looked well-placed when Lamb sprinted over for his second to make it 23-16.
Witney lost lock Owen Fowler to the sin bin before conceding what they felt was a harsh try.
The referee allowed play to continue despite an apparently crooked lineout and the visitors then claimed Keynes's scorer spilled the ball a metre out.
Then came the winning penalty to leave Witney frustrated.
