NEIL Pratley and Charlie Buckingham hit 14 dolls apiece as North Leigh FC cruised to a 3-0 win over New Club in Oxford & District Premier.
It was a comfortable night for the football club, claiming leg victories of 31-19, 23-16 and 24-18.
Pratley collected 4-5-5, while Buckingham grabbed 5-5-4.
Elsewhere, Gladiators A secured a hard-fought 2-1 win over visitors The Blackbird B.
The hosts took the opening leg 25-20, before edging out their opponents 24-23 to go 2-0 up.
Blackbird set 31 in the final leg and Glads posted a respectable 27 in reply, with Kevin Giles (4-5-4) and Scott Thompson (5-4-4) hitting a baker’s dozen for the visitors.
The race for the Section Two title is still up for grabs, with the top five teams all in with a shout.
Leaders Red Lion B Kidlington hold a one-point advantage after beating rivals The Chequers ‘B’ 2-1 at home, but they had to do it the hard way after losing the opening leg 18-16.
The hosts levelled the scores with a 23-19 triumph in the second, before Steve Ward came to their rescue in the decider.
After Chequers set 18, a poor reply left the anchor man needing five for victory and he was up for the challenge, whipping off the winning doll with his final stick to collect a baker’s dozen 3-5-5.
Six Bells A boosted their title hopes with a 3-0 victory over visitors Seacourt Bridge, who set all three legs.
The hosts took the first leg 19-18, before anchor man Alan Goodgame clanged off the winning doll from his last stick as they successfully chased 21 in another close contest.
Bells completed victory with a 20-14 triumph as Stuart Wells managed 4-3-5, while Ian Sharp was in outstanding form for Seacourt and whipped off 14 dolls (4-5-5).
