Testing the water before making an appearance at the Over 40 National Championships, Julie Bradbury made a welcome reappearance in Oxfordshire's first team for the first time in a couple of seasons.

The former Commonwealth Games gold medallist helped Oxfordshire trounce Hertfordshire 3rd 13-2 at Radley College in Division 1 C of the Inter-county Championship.

Victory more than reversed the 10-5 defeat suffered by Herts in November.

County champions Ryan Manuel (Oxford University) and Chialri Murayama (Oxford Brookes) led the singles attack as Oxon went 6-1 up.

Oxon 2nd were walloped 12-3 by West Glamorgan in a Division 3B relegation battle.

These two teams are joint bottom with six points.

However, victory over either Shropshire or Gloucestershire would ensure Oxon's survival.

  • Colts and Co increased their lead in Division 1 of the Five Disciplines League by beating Abingdon A 250-153 as Cramic hosted round five.

Colts' advantage over second-placed Gosford Hill A was increased to 42 points when Gosford could only score 246 against bottom team Cramic.

In Mixed Division 1, Park A's Jon Ponsford and Amy Gilder defeated all three opponents, but Windrush still took the match 5-4.

Harwell's Tim Atkins and Joan Atherton were the only winners in their 6-3 defeat by Berinsfield in Division 4.

In Men's League Division 2, Ian Roberts, and Matthew Pearce were dominant as Windrush B foiled Evenlode B 72 in Division 2.

Nick Bullock and Dave Thornton, at third pair, were dominant as Oxford B routed Gosford Hill B 7-2.
