Phil Chaundy (2,970) got them off to a winning start, ably suppported by victories from Martin Coulthard, Keith Sherrell, Kieren Boyle (3,020) and Graham Moon.

Berinsfield are new leaders after a 3-2 win against Section 3 side Headington Con Club.

Eddie Tebby (4,110) and Dave Lyne (6,370) were in good form for the host.

Gladiators B pulled off a great result defeating Section 3 leaders Nelson B closed the gap to six points.

Wilf Tuffin won first for the home side with Shaun Stratford (4,130) making it 1-1.

Reg Johnson (2,030), Dick Stowe (2,790) and Phil Clark (4,090) reeled off the last three games for victory.

Third placed Cavalier beat winless Temple Bar 4-1.

Rob Inall (3,490) was top-scorer for Temple, while Brian Minns (3,230) led the way for Cavalier.

Nelson A crushed Gladiators A, with wins from Ray Sturgess (11,140, break 10,640), Keith Sheard (13,150, break 9,580), Pauline Withey (9,670), Keven Godfrey (11,400, break 6,570) and Steven Sheard (8,040, break 7,300) who beat Keith Gardner (7,550, break 7,400).
