White Horse Harriers veterans Bruce Charles and Richard Jegou had successful weekends at the superb Lee Valley indoor athletics arena.
Competing in the pentathlon, Charles put in some gritty performances to pick up the silver medal in the vet 65 category.
Jegou, meanwhile, took part in the Southern Veterans Championship on Saturday and the Eastern Veterans Championship on Sunday.
He won both the vet 60 shot put on both days, beating his previous best throw in six of his ten attempts.
His final distance was an impressive 10.90m.
ABINGDON Ambler Paul Fernandex led home his teammates in fourth place at the Dursley Dozen (12-mile race) on Sunday.
Fernandex crossed the line in 1hr 21mins 45secs.
Hilary O'Shea won the prize for first place in the vet 55 ladies' race.
