Didcot Town reached the BGB Southern League Errea Cup semi-finals in dramatic style with a 4-3 penalty shoot-out victory over Cirencester Town following a 2-2 draw.
Andy Williams put the home side ahead on three minutes, only for a Jamie Heapy own goal to make it 1-1 in the 23rd.
Didcot's Ashley Vine was sent off a minute later for retaliation and Cirencester cashed in by going ahead through Andrew Chapman went ahead in the second half.
They were also reduced to ten men when Nicky Stanley saw red for a second yellow on the hour, but it needed a stoppage-time header from Richard Peirson to keep Didcot in the tie.
After extra time failed to produce a winner, Peirson proved the hero when he fired home the deciding spot-kick in the shoot-out. This followed successful Didcot penalties from Jack King, Richard Witt and Anaclet Odhiambo Didcot Tn: Watkins, Heapy, Davis, Williams, Peirson, Jack, Bicknell (Hopkins 77), King, Hope (Odhiambo 67), Vine, Mulvany (Witt 54).
