The Cherwell at Branson's Meadow once again produced the goods when 11 Kidlington AS anglers fished their Hillier Championship.
Fishing the lollipop float with lobworm tail on the hook, Jason Bean landed six bream for a top weight of 27.15.0. His best fish went 6.11.0 and all them looked ready to spawn.
Also fishing worm but with a chopped worm feeder, Jan Cebula also got among the bream, landing four of them for a second-placed 18.2.0.
Monty Finnemore had a lonely skimmer of 2.2.0 on a feeder and worm for third.

oThe wind played havoc with the 15 anglers who fished the Acorn Angling Carp League at Panshill, and they all struggled to find a bite.
The first three places went to anglers who made the most of having the wind at their backs.
Chris Dann fished a pole at 13m with maggot and found a winning 15.9.0 of small carp. Also fishing well out but using pellet was Andy Wiffin (RS Baits), who weighed in 14.15.0 of carp for second, followed by Rob Guppy (RS Baits) with 14.3.0 on pellet.
The Cherwell was still pushing through, so Oxford Bus AC decided to fish the backwater and it paid off again.
In first place with 12.14.0 was Anthony Tomkins, who fished the pole and worm and banked some decent perch up to 1.14.0.
Using similar tactics, Terry Yates caught perch up to 2.14.0 to finish with 5.11.0 for second.
There was a turnout of six members for Jolly Anglers' latest club match on the town waters. The Thames was still well up and anglers needed 4oz to hold out.
Frank Butler had two chub and two roach on maggot for a winning 5.15.0, pipping Bob Wyatt, who weighed in 5.10.0. Bob caught a chub and a skimmer using cheesepaste and breadflake.
A 1.10.0 chub on legered cheesepaste earned Steve Gray third.
Meadside was the venue for Dorchester's Abbey Cup and the river was hammering through.
Ian Fisher caught two chub for 5.6.0 on flake to take the cup.
Using the same method, Lol Budd had a 3.0.0 chub for second place, while Ray Dandridge was third with a chub of 2.0.0.
Twelve anglers fished Oxford Waltonian's previously postponed Wheatley Cup on the Thame at Wheatley, which proved very tough.
Legering bread, Paul Armstrong's only bite of the day was a winning chub of 3.7.0.
Jason Smith fished the pole with worm to catch a chub and a couple of perch for a second-placed 1.15.0, while 1.0.0 of small siver fish gave Mick Baston third.
Sutton Courtenay moved the second leg of their Markertow Shield from Lower Moors to Culham Cut, where eight of the 12 anglers blanked.
Using the pole with worm, Steve Wheatley land a 2.4.0 perch for top spot.
John Percival caught two small perch for 0.10.0 and second place, followed by Alan Hewer with two smaller perch for 0.6.0.
Right on the whistle of the Kinloch AC P Woodley Winter League at Ridgeway, Fred Harrison had a bite and netted a 2.2.0 carp for emerge victorious. He used an open ended feeder with maggot.
Fishing maggot over chop, Dave Williams had nine small perch and a roach for a second-placed 0.7.0, and third with two small tench for 0.6.0 was Bob Webb.
