Matt Maudsley is in no rush to change his Oxford Harlequins side for tomorrow's South West 1 trip to Cleve despite increasing competition for places.
Quins have scrum half Kenny Sewell, Oxford University No 8 Anthony Jackson and newly-signed wing/centre Neil Spottiswoode all vying for a start.
But director of rugby Maudsley could well stick with the team that defeated Maidenhead last time out.
Maudsley said: "Neil has been playing for West of Scotland in Scottish Premier 2 and has moved down for a job on the Oxford Science Park.
"His lines of running are good and his distribution is sound, so he is in contention.
"But our backs have been performing well and I'm not going to drop somebody for the sake of it.
"Kenny Sewell played well at scrum half when he came on against Maidenhead, and there is the potential to move Anthony Cope into midfield.
"Anthony Jackson is not available to train that much, but whatever I decide, we'll have a strong back row."
Maudsley added: "We should have beaten Cleve before, but couldn't finish them off.
"I think we are a stronger side now."
Chinnor coach Jason Bowers has urged his players to keep their concentration when they travel to second-from-bottom Reading.
Having defeated Bracknell to go top last week, this match could feel like a come down.
But Reading are fighting for their lives and have recently strengthened their squad.
Bowers said: "We have to go in as focused as last week, so hopefully the guys will be able to raise their game again.
"We are certainly expecting a tough game.
"They have brought in some Fijian players from the British Army and have won three of their last four games."
Wing Pip Seymour and flanker Adam Hastings come into the team, with Jaike Carter and Ed Rixon dropping to the bench.
Reading are captained by Oxfordshire player Alex Wallace, while Chinnor fly half James Cathcart spent the last two seasons at the Berkshire club.
Bowers added: "If James keeps kicking as well as last week, I will be a very happy coach."
