OXFORD Cheetahs do not need to do any homework on tonight’s opponents Berwick Bandits.
Jamie Courtney is the promoter for both SGB Championship clubs, while rider Aaron Summers represented the Northumberland outfit from 2018 to 2021.
Cheetahs must beat the basement boys to keep alive their slim play-off hopes, although they are still relying on Redcar Bears to not pick up a single point from their final four meetings.
Summers said: “Berwick has been my team for the last few seasons.
“The promoter’s the same person for both clubs, so I’m sure it’s going to be even harder for him.
“Berwick are a good team on paper and they’re definitely going to be hard to beat.
“We’ll do our best again, we’re back to almost full strength and will hopefully have the full one to seven.
“That’s when the team works best, when you’re not using R/R (rider replacement) and riding in your normal rides.”
Paul Starke is set to return for tonight’s fixture (7.30pm), but Luke Killeen is expected to miss out with Adam Roynon taking his place as guest.
