ZAC McEachran has joined fellow midfielders Reece Fleet and Josh Ashby in signing a new deal with Oxford City.

The 26-year-old has committed to the Vanarama National League South outfit for the 2022/23 season despite attracting interest from elsewhere.

Like Fleet and Ashby, McEachran is a familiar face at Court Place Farm and brought up 250 appearances for the club last season.

“It feels great to re-sign,” he told the club’s official website.

“There’s some great lads in this team and I’m buzzing to be part of it. Hopefully, we can push on again next season.”

McEachran grew up in Oxford and is in his second spell at City, having re-joined from Banbury United in 2017.

He has been a regular since Ross Jenkins took charge in January and scored three goals at the latter end of the season.

Those strikes helped City finish fifth in National League South and they reached the play-off semi-finals, losing 3-0 at Dorking Wanderers.

McEachran, Fleet and Ashby are the only three players confirmed to have re-signed so far, while Elliot Benyon and Zico Asare have left the club.
