Carterton came from behind to defeat Oxford City A 2-1 in Division 1 for their first win of the year.
Tracey McCue and Sarah Holmes were becoming more prominent in the Carterton midfield after the break, but City scored from a counter-attack.
Carterton were caught off guard as Fran Preston lofted the ball home.
Nine minutes later, Carterton were in front thanks to well-worked goals from Verity Newell and Holmes.
