FORMER Oxford United loanee Ciaron Brown has been released by Cardiff City.
The defender leaves the Sky Bet Championship club after making 19 appearances in four and a half seasons in south Wales.
Brown was loaned to the U’s on January transfer deadline day this year and went on to play 13 times.

His only goal was an important one, giving United a 1-0 win at Crewe Alexandra in February.
The 24-year-old operated at centre back and left back, earning praise for his performances during a strong end to last season.
Brown returned to Cardiff following the conclusion of his loan spell and is currently away with Northern Ireland, starting their last two UEFA Nations League games.
He spoke in glowing terms about his time at United, telling the club’s official website last month: “I was made to feel at home straight away and it was a pleasure to be part of the team and to play for the fans, who were incredible.
“I loved the experience, enjoyed my football, and have lots of great memories from my time there.”
Brown joined fellow Cardiff loanee and Northern Ireland teammate Gavin Whyte at United last season.
The winger still has a year left on his contract with the Bluebirds.
