Blue Hills, trained by Peter Hiatt at Hook Norton, ran out a game winner at Southwell on Monday.
The seven-year-old, ridden by Phillip Makin, pipped George Henson by a neck in a handicap over a mile and six furlongs at the Nottinghamshire track.
Blue Hills, who is owned by Tom Pratt, from Fenny Compton in Warwickshire, was recording his eighth career success - all on the all-weather.
