Bracknell 16, Chinnor 19
James Cathcart's stoppage time penalty sent Chinnor back to the top of South West 1 in the most dramatic manner possible.
The Irish fly half held his nerve to slot the decisive kick with what proved to be the final action of a pulsating top-of-the-table clash at Lily Hill Park.
Chinnor led 16-6 early in the second half, but were pegged back by a Bracknell side that refused to lie down.
The hosts managed two tries to level the scores, but in doing so passed up two kickable penalties that could have given them the victory their territorial advantage deserved.
Chinnor defended with grit and no little skill, having been the better side in the first half, but this was still a smash and grab victory.
Bracknell's powerful pack, which included coach Chris Sheasby at No 8, showed their intent with some excellent driving mauls.
One of these earned a penalty, which Ben Nowak slotted for the opening points after seven minutes.
Chinnor's lineout was struggling with Paddy Stennings's throws off the mark, but they soon showed their superiority in the backs.
Centre Trevor Powell scythed through midfield on 14 minutes and set up a great position.
Chinnor went left and then right again with flanker Zane Winslade slipping Powell the scoring pass.
Cathcart converted the try and Bracknell were rocked.
An off-side gave Nowak the chance to slot his second penalty on 20 minutes, but Catchcart matched him in kind soon after.
The pace of wings Phil Huxford and Jaike Carter gave Chinnor a constant advantage, but they could only manage another Cathcart penalty before the break.
Bracknell's wide men Nick Shears and Dave Budge showed they could play a bit as well and came more in the game after the break.
A strong start by Chinnor, with Huxford prominent, earned Cathcart the chance to drop a goal for 16-6.
Chinnor full back Ben Hewitt showed his counter-attacking skills, while Bracknell rolled a maul some 40 metres into the visitors' 22.
Bracknell secured a penalty in front of the posts on 61 minutes, but went for touch.
Chinnor were stretched to the limit in repelling the danger and finally Shears was able to dive over following Kenny Barry's off-load.
Another kickable penalty was passed up, with Bracknell knocking on in the resulting lineout.
Chinnor kept trying to run the ball clear and repeatedly conceded scrums due to nervy play.
Budge had a great chance to feed flanker Jason Borcherds on the right wing, but dallied and spilled the ball.
Bracknell's persistence paid off when prop Graham Sloane was driven over from a lineout with full time approaching, but Nowak missed the conversion.
That looked about it until a superb lineout steal from lock Sam Black gave Chinnor possession 30 metres out.
Carter attacked, Bracknell centre Oli Jones didn't roll away and Cathcart did the rest with a tricky kick.
