JAMES Golding has received his first Republic of Ireland Under 19s call-up.
The Oxford United defender, who does not turn 18 until August, is part of the 24-man squad for the friendlies against Iceland this Wednesday and Saturday.
Golding is one of five new faces selected by head coach Ian Mohan for the fixtures in Pinatar, Spain.
It follows an impressive domestic campaign for the centre back, culminating in his full U’s debut on the final day of the Sky Bet League One season.

His performances for the Puritans and progress at United earned him his first professional contract in March.
