Oxford Hawks Ladies were in sparkling form as they defeated lowly Eastcote 4-0 in an exciting South Clubs' League Division 1 game that saw the Eastcote coach, Simon Ball, sent off near the end and told to leave the ground.
Hawks scored after only ten minutes when Hannah Williamson roofed home a cross from the right.
Eastcote created a few chances of their own, but Mandy Hamilton-Martin was in outstanding form at the back for Hawks, picking up all the pieces, and clearing the ball off the line twice.
After the interval, Hawks produced some of their best hockey of the season. Bryant made it 2-0 with a good strike from a short corner, and not long after, Alex Baird fed Henri Coles, who raced forward and scrambled the ball over the line for a scrappy third goal.
One of Eastcote's players was yellow-carded for deliberately handling the ball when on the floor. Eastcote's coach reacted badly to the umpire's decision, and was red carded for verbal abuse.
Tori Clark rounded the keeper to notch No 4.
Second-placed Banbury's impressive run in Division 3A continued as they drew 1-1 at fifth-placed Staines 2nd.
