Mark Simms fired a double as North Leigh moved to within two points of Premier Division leaders Almondsbury with a comprehensive victory on Saturday.
Unbeaten North Leigh got off the perfect start when recent signing Paul Cooper hammered home.
Former Town striker Simms glanced home his first from a Simon Futcher corner, before he set up Chris Allen for No 3.
At the other end, Tom Larman and Craig Bloomfield went close.
Two minutes into the second half, it was 4-0 when Jamie Jackson fired past Gareth Walker in the Abingdon goal.
Abingdon clawed a goal back from the penalty spot through Tom Larman after Leigh Dodds handled.
James Mortimer Jones went on a mazy dribble before slotting in No 5.
They wrapped up victory when an attempted clearance from Walker rebounded in off North Leigh's Andy McCabe.

Witney fought back from a goal down as kept up the pressure on the top-two with victory in north Oxfordshire.
Mark Griffin put the hosts ahead with his third goal in three matches from Sam Oliveira's cross.
After Richard Meadows made a superb double save, denying Harry Burnley before keeping out Andrew Younie's follow-up.
After the break, Witney piled men forward and were rewarded for their efforts when Gary Wickens equalised direct from a corner.
After Luke Brandon's 30-yard effort fizzed over, Younie gave Witney the lead.
And Witney's recovery was completed when J P Mills cracked home their third with a long-range lob in the dying seconds.
Bicester Tn 3 (Williams 73, 78, 80)
AFC Wallingford 1 (Harriott 18) Ben Williams hit a hat-trick in just seven minutes as Bicester snatched a late victory against their ten-man opponents.
Bicester's young striker, Sam Houlihan twice hitting a post early on, before ex-Wallingford midfielder Andrew Styles headed against the bar.
Wallingford's Jordan Weaver went close before they took a shock lead when Jefferson Harriott hit a screamer past a startled Tom McNamara in the Bicester goal.
Wallingford suffered a blow on 70 minutes when defender Brad Chalmers was sent off for dissent. And it got worse for Walllingford when Williams equalised from five yards out.
With ten minutes left, Williams doubled his tally when he beat an exposed Craig Evans inside his near post.
Late on, Williams completed his treble when he squeezed the ball home from a tight angle at the third attempt.

Milton Utd 2 (Kenny 34, Johnson 70)
Milton extended their unbeaten league run to 21 matches with victory in Surrey.
They took the lead after the half-hour mark when Simon Kenny lobbed the keeper from 18 yards out after a great through ball from Matt Shelton.
After the break, Jemel Johnson doubled their lead after a clever backheel from skipper Matt Whitehead.
At the death, Dan Bailey pulled a goal back, but it was too late.
Wantage Tn 2 (Hartley 16, Keen 55)
Flackwell Heath 0
Wantage made hard work of victory against Flackwell.
Gary Hartley prodded home the opener after good work by Matty Horsell, but they failed to keep up the momentum and had Flackwell's finishing been sharper would have been punished.
After the break, Wantage improved with Danny Keen latching onto a long clearance from keeper Luke Alford before lobbing the keeper for their second.
