OXFORD United captain Elliott Moore has reportedly caught the eye of Bristol City.
Robins manager Nigel Pearson attended the U’s 1-0 win over MK Dons at the Kassam Stadium last Tuesday to watch three players, according to Bristol World.
The City boss was reportedly casting an eye over Moore and Steve Seddon, although the left back was an unused substitute.
The U’s skipper, 25, is out of contract this summer but head coach Karl Robinson revealed in February that United have the option to trigger an extra year.
He told the Oxford Mail: “People are saying his contract’s up in the summer, so don’t worry about Elliott Moore – he will be here next year if we want to take that option up.
“I’m sure you know as well as I do that we’ll be taking that option.”
Pearson and Moore have worked with each other twice before, initially at Leicester City.
The defender came through the Foxes’ youth ranks and was nominated for academy player of the year in 2014/15, only to be pipped by future England and Chelsea left back Ben Chilwell.
That was Pearson’s final season at Leicester, but the pair were reunited at OH Leuven when he became manager in September 2017.
Moore had already joined the Belgian First Division A outfit on loan and they worked together for another 18 months, with the defender appointed captain despite his young age.
He joined United in summer 2019 and has made 124 appearances, becoming skipper in December 2020.

City last signed a U's centre back ten months ago, with the Sky Bet Championship club paying a fee believed to be around £1.6million plus add-ons for Rob Atkinson.
The 23-year-old played alongside Moore last season and has made 33 appearances in his debut campaign in the second tier.
U's youth product Robbie Cundy, another centre back, is also at Ashton Gate and has featured 12 times this season.
Seddon, meanwhile, started the campaign as United’s first-choice left back but has not featured since March 12.
He joined from Birmingham City last summer and has two years left on his contract.
