OXFORD United’s home clash with MK Dons on Easter Monday has been pushed back more than 24 hours.

The crunch clash between the Thames Valley promotion rivals was due to take place on Monday, April 18 at 3pm, but the fixture will now kick-off at 7.45pm on Tuesday, April 19.

MK Dons are currently third in Sky Bet League One, three points behind the automatic promotion places, and seven points above the U’s.

MK Dons’ Good Friday game against Sheffield Wednesday was switched to the Saturday evening for Sky TV purposes, and the clubs therefore agreed with the EFL to move the fixture.

Tickets for the original date are still valid but if any fans cannot attend the new date, they need to return the tickets before by 5pm on Thursday, April 14, due to the Easter Holiday.

In the reverse fixture in December, second half goals from Matty Taylor and Mark Sykes secured a comeback win for the U’s.

Hiram Boateng had put MK Dons in front, but Taylor and Sykes made sure United left with all three points.

Jordan Thorniley received a second yellow card deep into injury time.

Following the rearranged MK Dons fixture, the U’s end the season with a trip to Rotherham United and a home game against Doncaster Rovers.
